If you’re a non-EU citizen wishing to spend more than 90 days in Greece then it is most likely that you will need to obtain a National Visa, widely known as a Visa Type D. Furthermore, if relocating to Greece is your intention, you will need to also obtain a residence permit as a Financially Independent Person (FIP). This type of Visa is valid for one year and once it has been obtained, it will allow the individual involved to submit an application for the issuance of a residence permit as Financially Independent Person (FIP), as an entry visa does not automatically confer further rights.
